Hon. Robert K. Dawson

Founder
With a deep knowledge of federal environmental and appropriations matters and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction, Bob Dawson has an unmatched breadth of experience and success.

During his remarkable career, Bob has held senior positions at the White House, the Defense Department and on Capitol Hill that have given him a deep understanding of the federal budget and regulatory processes in the water resource and environmental arenas. A former Associate Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Bob oversaw budget and policy for about one fourth of the Federal budget, including the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Energy and Interior; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the Environmental Protection Agency; and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Bob was promoted to that position after seven successful years in the Department of Defense as the U.S. Army’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Civil Works and subsequently the Assistant Secretary, a position that required U.S. Senate confirmation. During Bob’s service, he led a successful reform of the Corps of Engineers’ selection and funding processes for its water projects.

In 2020, the National Academy of Construction inducted Bob as a member in recognition of his career and accomplishments.NAC is comprised of a select group of industry leaders who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in engineering, construction and related fields.
