Maj. Gen. (Ret) Bruce K. Scott

Maj. Gen. Bruce Scott joins Dawson & Associates with more than 25 years of achievement in military construction, force structure and military sales.
Bruce’s service includes commanding operations in Central Europe and across the U.S. While a Brigadier General, he served for two years as Commanding General, South Pacific Division, having responsibility for all military construction and civil works in the western United States (annual operating budget: $3+ billion). This service included overseeing construction, inland waterway operations, and environmental clean-up.
As a Brigadier General, Bruce was appointed Deputy Director (Strategy, Plans and Policy) for the Army’s Quadrennial Defense Review team. He was responsible for the formulation of long-term strategy, force structure, and long-range planning.
In 1994, the U.S. Army recognized Bruce’s exceptional service, promoting him to General, the youngest Army General in more than 25 years. In 1997, he became the Army’s
youngest Major General.
After retiring from active duty service, Bruce worked for nine years as a Vice President at ITT Defense, leading the company’s international marketing and business development section. He oversaw a nearly 900 percent growth in the value of ITT’s international orders.
