ENR Award of Excellence 50th anniversary gala*
In 1965, Lyndon Johnson was President and a first-class stamp was a nickel. Ford had just introduced the Mustang, Winston Churchill passed away and Julie Andrews earned fame in The Sound of Music.
That year, Engineering News-Record introduced its Award of Excellence. This award quickly became the construction industry’s most prestigious honor and has kept that high honor ever since.
Earlier this month, under the leadership of ENR’s indefatigable editor-in-chief Jan Tuchman, ENR celebrated 50 years of success with its Award of Excellence at a gala in New York City. Our colleague Maj. Gen. (Ret) Bo Temple carried the Dawson torch at the dinner.
Congratulations to Jan and to the entire ENR team on establishing such an impressive and recognized honor!
Maj. Gen. (Ret) Don Riley Senior Vice President
