Bo Temple joins Dawson & Associates as its newest Senior Advisor


Dawson & Associates is honored to announce that Maj. Gen. (Ret) Merdith W. B. “Bo” Temple, former Acting Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has joined our firm as a Senior Advisor.


He is the 13th former Flag Officer, primarily from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to join Dawson & Associates.


From 2012 to 2013, Bo served as Acting Chief of Engineers and Acting Commanding General of the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was responsible for a global multi-billion dollar military and civil works construction program.


Prior to this, he was Deputy Commanding General for the Corps of Engineers and Deputy Commanding General for both Civil & Emergency Operations and for Military & International Operations.


During his service, Bo had key roles in helping the Army meet numerous national level infrastructure challenges. As the Army’s military construction program manager 2005-2008, Bo was faced with the largest military infrastructure recapitalization in Army history. He managed a multi-billion dollar infrastructure program, improving time-to-completion by 30% while reducing costs by 15%.


Bo has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute.


He is a licensed Professional Engineer (Commonwealth of Virginia) and a Certified Project Management Professional.
