Are we prepared for rising sea levels?

PBS stations around the country have begun airing a program on rising sea levels and the threats posed to low-lying nations and regions. Our esteemed Dawson & Associates colleague Gen. (ret) Bo Temple is featured multiple times in this program.

In the feature, Bo discusses the stakes involved with rising sea levels. He notes specifically, “I think it’s incumbent on countries like our own…who have studied these problems [rising sea levels] ad infinitum to share our knowledge and capabilities with the world.”

Before joining Dawson, Bo was the Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), which included serving over a year as the Acting Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)/Chief of Engineers. He was previously Commander of the USACE North Atlantic Division and Deputy Commander for Civil & Emergency Operations at the Corps.

The Foreign Policy Association in New York produced this PBS program. Click here for the video. Bo's comments appear at approximately 12:12, 16:20 and 23:50.
