Biography
Mike comes to Dawson & Associates after eight years experience with the Congressional appropriations process.
From 1995 to 2003, he served on the personal and committee staff of The Honorable Sonny Callahan (R-AL), then Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations. Starting as a Legislative Correspondent and rapidly working his way up to Senior Legislative Assistant, Mike handled appropriations issues involving multiple subcommittees of the House Appropriations Committee.
When Congressman Callahan became chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development in 2001, he asked Mike to serve as associate staff to the Appropriations Committee with responsibility for Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation and Department of Energy issues.
Mike is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, worked in the antique print and map business in Philadelphia prior to coming to Washington.
