Biography

Kyle Schilling brings to Dawson & Associates more than 30 years experience with federal water resource policy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  From 1990-1999, Kyle was Director of the Corps of Engineers Institute for Water Resources (IWR) in Alexandria, VA. His department provided long-term planning to improve the Corps of Engineers’ civil water efforts.

During this period, Kyle was also Director of the Water Resources Support Center (WRSC), an umbrella organization that includes the IWR, the Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) in Davis, CA and the Navigation Data Center (NDC) in New Orleans, LA. With a budget of nearly $30 million and a staff of 150+, the WRSC’s focus is on water-related environmental resource study.

Prior to these positions, he was a Senior Policy Analyst with the IWR’s Policy Studies Division.

Kyle is currently vice president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Environmental and Water Resources Institute.

He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Nebraska.
