HON. JOHN T. MYERS

JOHN T. MYERS is a Senior Advisor at Dawson & Associates. Congressman Myers retired from the U.S. House of Representatives after a 30-year Congressional career. Representing Indiana’s Seventh Congressional District, Mr. Myers was the third ranking Republican member in the House. Among other important appointments, he served as Chairman of the Energy and Water Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee, where he oversaw funding for the water resources programs of the Corps of Engineers, energy research programs including nuclear power and weapons, and programs of other agencies. Other assignments included the Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration Subcommittee and the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct. A fiscal conservative, Mr. Myers was known for his successful efforts to control spending and eliminate waste and for his knowledge of water resources and energy. He received numerous awards for his Congressional successes. He also is an experienced farmer and banker.

A graduate of Indiana State University, Mr. Myers served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and is a former Infantry Battalion Commander in the Army Reserves.
