Private and public reconstruction operations across New York, including many of the State’s most challenging construction projects have looked to Bud for his expertise. An expert on contracting issues for the Corps of Engineers, Bud was Contracting Officer for several major acquisitions including the design and procurement of Fort Drum, the design and rehabilitation of the Thule Airforce Base Power Plant in Greenland, and Ramon Air Base in Israel (the largest cost-plus contract awarded in the Corps of Engineers’ history).

Col. Griffis has a B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, two Masters Degrees (Construction Engineering and Operations Research) and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
