COLONEL ROBERT FRIEDENWALD

Colonel Robert Friedenwald, Senior Advisor, has extensive military and water resources programs experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. After 27 years of service, he retired as a Colonel and District Commander of the Portland District in Oregon. Previous assignments included the Far East, Europe, and as Executive Director of the Civil Works Directorate in the Corps Headquarters in Washington , D.C. he subsequently spent 14 years with the Port of Portland, Oregon, with various engineering and construction management responsibilities for navigation and airport facilities. More recently he served as a maritime advisor in Iraq.

He holds a B.A. degree in Geology and an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Other education includes the National War College and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
